Q. How do I care for my arrangement?

A. The best way to keep your flowers fresh is first to always keep the water level of the container as full as possible. Flowers not only take up water through the end of the stem but also through the sides of the stems themselves. Keep your bouquet in a cool location in your home, away from direct sunlight or electronics and appliances that give off heat.

Keep fresh flowers away from drafts and extreme temperatures, which can quickly dry out the flowers and cause wilting. Do not place your arrangement near fruit or in the path of cigarette smoke. The ethylene gas is detrimental to many flower types. Avoid placing flower arrangements in windowsills and other areas with full sun where flowers can wilt due to overheating. Most flowers will last longer under cool conditions.

If you've received a hand-tied bouquet, cut an inch of the stems before placing the flowers to the vase filled with fresh lukewarm water. A drop of bleach (yes! you've read it right) in the vase with water will keep all the bacteria away and will give your flowers extra days to bloom. Keep your vase filled with water! All flower and foliage stems should be submerged. Flowers stay fresher, longer when they can get a drink! Watch your water. When it gets cloudy it’s time to change it out.

Q. How much are your delivery charges?

A. There will be no delivery charge for the delivery in Fox River Grove, IL. Other towns and villages - delivery charge will depend on the mileage, but roughly between $10 - $25. 

Q. What if the Recipient is not at home?

A. If you have any specific instructions for the delivery of your gift bouquet, be sure to enter them into the "Special Delivery Instructions" field during check out. Otherwise, the delivering florist may choose to:

Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time of your gift. Weather permitting, we will leave it on the recipient’s front porch. If the weather is between 40 and 75 degrees, we leave it on the porch with a note. We also follow up with a phone call to the recipient to make certain that they received their gift. If a phone number is not provided for the recipient, we will call the sender and let them know of our attempted delivery.

Leave the gift bouquet with a neighbor, and place a message on the recipient's door referring them to the neighbor who is holding their gift.

If we are unable to find a neighbor and the weather is not appropriate for leaving flowers outside, we will leave a note on the door of the recipient's home asking them to call us and schedule an appropriate delivery day.

Please review all delivery address information before you submit an order. Incomplete address information or phone numbers may delay delivery. Flowers cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes, APO addresses, airports.

Q. Do you deliver to Hospitals?

A. Yes. For hospital delivery, please include the recipient's room number, hospital name and indicate if the recipient is a patient or an employee. Please ensure that the recipient is not scheduled for discharge within the window of delivery.

We will send your gift bouquet in accordance with facility procedures, as most hospitals do not allow florists to deliver into individual rooms. Please note -- many ICU & CCU patients are not permitted to receive flowers.

Please call the hospital before ordering to inquire about their policies.

Q. Will my arrangement look exactly like the sample on the website?

A. There are times when it becomes necessary to substitute flowers in arrangements due to a lack of supplied availability. Please remember that each design is custom made. No two arrangements are exactly alike and color substitutions of flowers may be necessary. We do strive to maintain the value and integrity of every arrangement ordered, with particular attention paid to color scheme and premium flower components. When it is necessary to substitute, we will only use the same quality replacements that you would have expected in the original flowers.
