Hi there!

My name is Ausra Montvydaite (yap! try to pronounce it!). I was born in the beautiful country of Lithuania and my first name in Lithuanian means "Dawn"... pretty awesome, ah! Lithuania will always have the sweetest and dearest place in my heart but my home is here, in a tiny house by a tiny creek in Fox River Grove of Illinois. I share my life with my husband Vytautas (yes, I know, another weird Lithuanian name! But this name once belonged to the Grand Duke and the Ruler of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania! ), our son Lukas (finally some name that can be easily pronounced!), our naughty miniature - schnauzer Kiwi. And, of course, all the deer, raccoons, squirrels, one fox and hawks in our backyard!

I just blinked and my boy grew up!

Oh, flowers! I always had an intimate relationship with the flowers. Lithuania’s fields are covered with wildflowers, and my grandma’s, godmother’s and mom’s gardens were always full of color, fragrance and sacred beauty. As a child, I dreamed of having my own flower shop. But oh well, life took me on a detour.

I dived into the business world of Insurance and swam in those waters as a “crazy shark” for 15 years. Until one day, I had enough. It was time for a big change. Scared as hell, I made the decision to say goodbye to a steady and successful business (which I once called “my baby” while my own newborn stayed home with a nanny… silly me!). And I did it! I cried for the first year… but by the second year, when my ego was well and truly smashed, I realized it was the hardest — and smartest — decision ever. I was finally free. And that’s when my dreams started chasing me again!

And here I am! In my tiny house by the tiny creek, surrounded by nature, loved ones, flowers, vegetable gardens, and wild animals. Life gifted me the chance to share my passion and love for flowers with you. Since those early days, my little studio has grown alongside me, and I now have the joy of designing not only every day bouquets, but also weddings, events, and special celebrations that bring hearts and spaces to life with flowers.

I’ve attended the Chicago School of Flower Design, studied with the Design Star Michael Gaffney. My Teacher was a missing piece for my dreams to finally meet reality. He taught me not only how to speak "flower language" but also to believe in myself and go catch my dreams. My life took a new, beautiful direction from there.

Now, I call myself a Woman, a Wife, a Mother, a Flower Fairy, Yogini, Booklover (or “maniac” might be truer), and Free Spirit. I’m not your ordinary florist — I don’t own a traditional flower shop (yet!) — but I create beauty from my home studio, where every bouquet and arrangement is made from the heart. No two pieces are alike. I pay attention to every detail, listen deeply, and translate your vision into flowers. Many arrangements are made with blooms from my own garden, fresh and organically grown, sprinkled with love and care.

And my son Lukas, once our tiny delivery boy with a backpack full of flowers, is now in highschool (how did that happen!!) and still my trusty helper — scrubbing buckets and recycling all those flower boxes along with my husband, my Grand Duke (the muscle behind the magic). Together, we bring the magic to life.

Being a local small business owner, I will go above and beyond in making flower arrangements that not only stand out but also brighten one’s day and touch the Soul.  I truly believe that flowers have healing powers — they say what words often cannot. Mother Nature never fails, and I’m simply the “middle-woman” who helps bring her beauty into the world.

Thank you for visiting my page. I hope my work, passion, and love inspire you, bring joy, and make your Soul smile!

Keep Blooming!

With a smile,

Ausra M. (Grand Duke’s wife)
